The Christmas/New Year Holidays always seem to be a time when we lose some big names in the world.
December 28th is no different, here are some of the famous names we have seen pass on this date:
Clayton Moore (The Lone Ranger) in 1999

Dennis Wilson in 1983
1993 Novelist William Shirer who had a huge bestseller "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" in 1960.
Sam Peckinpaugh in 1984 who directed the classic "The Wild Bunch"
Howard Caine in 1993. Howard Caine played Maj. General Hochstetter on "Hogan's Heroes"
and
Heloise Bowles Cruse in 1977 known for her newspaper column "Hints From Heloise"
